Wookey Hole – 2 Birds 1 Love Review! 🎪

Our day out at Wookey Hole was absolutely brilliant! We’d never been before, and apart from knowing about the obvious caves there, we really didn’t know what to expect. Well what a real treat we were in for.
Our excitement started when we pulled in to the carpark. Just the site of the Wookey Hole Hotel with a witches hat on its roof was enough for us to know we were going to have a great day! The first thing you do when you arrive in the grounds is walk up the slope towards the entrance of the caves. My tip here is to wear sensible footwear. I made the mistake of wearing flip flops and because there were several wet patches in the caves, by the time I came out my feet were black!! I had to spend quite a while in the public toilets washing them afterwards!The caves were amazing though, so fascinating and to think they were over a million years old! There are a few low points in the cave where you have to duck to get through, and also an area where we had to each don hard hats due to falling rocks, but this all added to the fun. I won’t tell you too much else as I wouldn’t want to spoil it, but the caves are well worth the visit, and the tour guide fills you in with lots of fun and interesting facts along the way.When you finish your tour of the caves, you exit out into the gorgeous grounds, with stunning waterfalls, magical fairy gardens and beautiful walks with picturesque places to stop for a picnic along the way. You will also see huge prehistoric animals dotted around as you head towards the valley of the dinosaurs, with an amazing robotic T-Rex doing the rounds for photo opportunities, an absolute must for any Dino mad child.There is so much more to do at Wookey Hole, we visited a 4D cinema with a fun film showing, and lots of surprises for the audience throughout. We also got involved with dinosaur bone excavation, watched a circus show, visited an old fashioned penny arcade, marvelled at the model village, got lost in the mirror maze, enjoyed gold panning, played a round of pirate crazy golf, watched a paper making demonstration, stood under King Kong for a photo (he’s HUGE!!), played in the play barns and so much more!Wookey Hole really is a whole day of fun. There are endless hours of enjoyment here, and it is suitable for the whole family. There are also lots of Events coming up, Halloween 🎃 ,Circus Of Horrors 🎪😱 Murder Mystery 🔪, Winter Wonderland 🎅🏼❄️ You can even get married here! 👰🏼🤵🏻 In fact more people have walked on the moon than been married at Wookey Hole which would make any wedding here that little bit extra special.
